The pessimist the hole.

It seemed like it would never happen, but finally the construction has begun. The basement is poured and we met with our builder today to discuss upcoming milestones. The next step is framing, but before they can begin, we have to make some decisions about materials.
One of the first things we’ll need to do is choose [...]

Today was the first day of school for the kids. Zoe was very excited, and she was ready to go bright and early (well, more like dark and early). Cam wasn’t so spry. I think he was so anxious and nervous that he just couldn’t sleep soundly. He told us he didn’t sleep well…I can [...]

I found this cool site where you can create your own avatar. I attempted to create an avatar that closely resembled yours truly. I’m not quite there yet, but I’m getting close. Anyway, I thought this site was pretty cool. Check it out at faceyourmanga.com.

We weren’t sure it was really going to happen, but finally everything worked out and the papers were signed. So it’s official, we no longer own the place we called home for the last seven years. I hope the new owners enjoy the place and have as many fond memories as we have.
I started thinking [...]

August 12th will be a day to remember – well at least in my life. It was the day they finally broke ground on our new house. It’s been a long time coming, but finally they were out of excuses.
I just happened to be driving by (which I do nearly everyday), and noticed they were [...]

We won’t have Internet until Friday, but I thought I would at least take the time to quickly wish Cam a Happy Birthday. He won’t read this, but at least its proof that I didn’t forget.
As most of my friends and family know, we are in the middle of moving out of our house. We [...]
